Training Context
The socio-political crisis in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon has affected many families negatively and even rendered some homeless. This is especially in the rural areas, thereby causing an influx of IDPs into the urban areas of these affected regions. Bamenda city and Mezam Division as a whole has felt the impact of this ongoing struggle as the number of IDPs in here keeps increasing as the days go by. A good number of these Internally Displaced People happen to be women. Bridgender Gap Global through the Powder Soap Production Project has as one of its goals to greatly reduce the gender gap that has continually been widened by the ongoing unrest in the English speaking parts of Cameroon.
The main aim of this workshop is to give skilled training on powder soap making for sustainable livelihood to Internally Displaced girls and women who are economically and socially disadvantaged. We are equally empowering, supporting, and strengthening participants in promoting.
